Superstar..Haterblockers...

Misty took this picture of Jordan with her glasses on. She told me that she got a comment about it saying because of the bubbles, she looks like she is overdosing on drugs, hence, the Superstar. She is starting out young. (Or, they could just be from her wonderful new game of raspberries.)

Photo Tag

This is a different kind of tag! So fun! Here's how to do it:
1. Go to your "My pictures" file
2. Click on the 4Th folder
3. Go to the 4Th picture and upload it
4. Tell about your picture
5. Then tag people (not required...but fun to see what other people come up with)
This is a picture of my Grandpa and me taken in May of 2006, about a year before he died. We had sort of a quick little family reunion in St George. And honestly, this is pretty much the only picture I have of the two of us together in the last couple years before he died. (Even though you can only see the front half of me.)

Jordan's new trick......

Raspberries. Last night, Jordan started doing raspberries. It is the cutest thing, and she makes an absolute mess of her face with slober. Now we have a fun little game to play together.

4 months old

Jordan had her 4 month mark on Monday. She can roll over, both back to front, and front to back. She can sit with some assistance, and she abolutely loves her little bouncer toy that she sort of stands in. She grabs at everything, and then everything goes straight into her mouth. And oh boy, if you eat in front of her, she doesn't take her eyes off you. She watches the food from plate to mouth, and grabs at the food and plate. She talks alot, and has even used a few syllables during her babbling. On Tuesday, we
had her 4 month checkup. She weighed in at 14.4 pounds and measured 24.5 inches. (porker, right?) He said everything looks good, and, if she doesn't seem satisfied after eating, we can even try some rice cereal. But, for now, that isn't a problem. So, at the 6 month checkup, he said they suggest you try it if you haven't already started. She got her vaccinations, and did so much better than that time. She was upset when they first poked her, but, was easily distracted by her squeaky crab she loves so much. She is starting to have daddy-daughter days. I have been working on Saturdays, and Bryce takes her for the day. I was a little nervous the first time, but he showed me that there is nothing to be worried about. He does great with her, and I hope some great bonding comes out of it for the two of them. It is so scary to think of how fast she is growing, next thing you know I will be telling you all to stay off the sidewalk because she is driving.

She is here.

So, Ariane is officially here, what is to be her home for now. I admire her, because I would be absolutely terrified to move to another country, where I don't really understand or speak the language, and have to rely on one person alone, who is for the most part, the only person you know in this completely new place. She does speak a tad bit of English, and she was so good to use what she does know at the airport. As it turns out, we chose to take her to not only a good ol' American joint, but more precisely a good ol' Utah joint. We picked Litza's pizza for our first lunch with our newest family member. It was fun, she tried Fry Sauce for the first time, seemed to like it. And, we laughed, even though it may have been delayed because we had to have our interpreter go between our conversations. She was so cute with Jordan, and even said she is glad she has all the kids to play with. (In our family, we really do have plenty of them for her.) I really do think I am going to love her, and I don't think it will take long. She is so cute, and it is so neat to finally be able to see the happiness first hand that she and Danny give each other. She must really love and trust him to put her life in his hands like she has. Braver woman than I could ever be.

So very excited.......

to meet my sister-in-law. Today is the day that my little brothers wife FINALLY gets to come home. Danny left for Brazil a little more than two weeks ago so he could be there with Ariane when she had her interview. The interview was on October 2nd, and yeah, she was approved. He chose to buy plane tickets far enough off, that they would be able to get everything in order. The did just that, and today will be arriving at Salt Lake International, where many of my family members will meet Ariane for the first time. Both my parents and Anthony have had the chance of meeting her before today. I am so excited, especially, since today just so happens to be my day off work, so I can meet her at the airport as well. We are planning to go to lunch, at a Brazilian grill steakhouse. (Of all places to take someone just arriving in the grand old USA from Brazil.) But, like I have been told, they really don't eat that way every day, it is a special occasion type of Brazilian food. Not sure which one we are going to, but there are 3 we were choosing from, Rodizio, Tucano's and Grill from Ipanema. I am for sure going to take my camera, and I will post pictures from this very exciting day. Jordan and I are really looking forward to 12:30, when they arrive.

Paiges new job

I started my new job on Monday this last week, and so far I absolutely love it. I love the girls, and the guy, my boss Lance, in the section I am in. We have a lot of fun, and they have all been so good to me during my first week. And all of the people at BCI are great too. The hours so far have been a little hectic, I worked 6 days this week, but that was only to get my hours. The weeks start on Saturday with the state, so I got my 39 hours Mon-Fri, and Saturday started my hours for the next week. So far, I will have Sundays off, and 1 day during the week, which will be nice, because I will be able to get things done when places aren't open on weekends. I absolutely love working 5 blocks from my house, it makes it so easy to drive to work in the morning, I can go home for lunch and even feed Jordan if Misty isn't out and about with her. I hope I can find a benefited position, that isn't classified seasonal, (even though I am not worried about the position going away) and then I know I can stay there.
