Prego pics

So, the end of May, when I was a very lovely 9 months pregnant, we went and had pregnancy pictures taken. Don't be too hard, some of them are pretty cheesy thanks to the fact that I really am not very photogenic. Can I tell you all, how very much I LOVE my photographer? She is awesome. I found her when I was getting married. She did my engagements, bridals, wedding, pregnancy pics, and I just went to her for newborn pictures of Jordan. I will get some of those pictures on here when I get them. If anyone wants to use her, her website is www.courtneyryanphotography.com you can check out her portfolio, and she even has a blog with samples of the events/pictures she does. She is so awesome, and so personable. I will surely use her as long as she is still working in photography.

Kauai, Hawaii

My favorite place to vacation is Kauai, Hawaii. In 2003, my Grandpa took my mom, one of my sisters and I on a trip there, and I have been in love with it ever since. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase his condo, in Princeville on the island of Kauai, which is a biennial timeshare, so I get to go every two years. It is even more special to me since he died in March of 2007, about 2 weeks after our Kauai trip that year. In 2005 we took a large group of 9 people, and it was mostly fun other than a few incidents. (Large groups can be a pain to travel with) In 2007, we took my mother and father-in-law and had a blast. Bryce and I are really loooking forward to our trip in June next year.

About me

Ok, so a little bit about me, now that you know about my beautiful baby. I am, at the time, 28 years old. I have been married to my husband for just a little over 3 years. We worked for the same company about 9 years ago, just different branches, he worked with my brother. Although we didn't start dating until 2002. He called me up one day out of the blue and asked me on a date. We have been pretty much inseperable ever since. (Other than when he goes hunting. He LOVES to hunt, and even though I don't mind, I just choose not to be there when he hunts, because of how much I love animals.) He pretty much moved in after we had been dating for a couple weeks, and after 4 months, he bought into the house I had been in for a little over a year. We got a really cute lab/boxer puppy in April of 2003 and named her Kasha. In January of 2005 we got a chocolate lab puppy and named her Mousse. (Like chocolate Mousse? I know, cute right? :)) Then we got married on May 26, 2005. And for the most part, cause everyone has a least part, we have been more than happy. Especially since Jordan was born. Bryce works in HVAC, as a Union Tinner, and I work in Accounting. I worked for Page Brake for 9 years, and in October of 2007 I decided it was time for a change and I now work for Modern Display in the Accounting Department for their wholesale floral company, Ensign Wholesale Floral.

Grandma Shorty

We took a trip to see Grandma Shorty (Bryce's great Grandma) on Saturday. She hasn't been well enough to get out of the house, so she hasn't seen Jordan yet. Diana, Aspyn and Delaynee picked Jordan and I up, and we went out to see her. Aspyn and Delaynee kept asking what her name was, and told Diana that it would be easier for them to remember if they could call her Grandma Stanley. (Since that is their last name. Only she is Diana's dad's mom, so she isn't a Stanley, she is a Jarrad) It didn't take any time for Jordan to smile for her. She seemed to love her at first sight. I took some video of the visit since Bryce was out at the Bookcliffs with his dad scouting for deer, and he wasn't able to be there. Grandma Shorty was so cute with Jordan, I am glad we finally made it to see her.

Jordan loves bath time

Jordan really loves taking a bath. She has since the day she was born. But, she doesn't like getting out of the bath, it's so cold, and she freaks out. I got the cutest pictures, and one she was even smiling, while in the tub.

Jordan Mykell

Ok, I have never blogged before, so hopefully I will do ok at it, here it goes. So, my long awaited, beautiful baby finally arrived. I have wanted this for so long, and she is finally here. She was born at 5:22 pm on June 20, 2008. She weighed in at 8 lbs 1 oz, and 19 inches in length. Although, I think the length was off, at her 2 week Dr. appt, she was 21 3/4 inches, and I have a hard time believing she grew almost 3 inches in 2 weeks. Her height comes from her dad, obviously, he is 6 feet tall. (I am only 5'3") In the last month, I have been lucky enough to spend almost 24/7 with her, other than an ortho appointment, and one other babysitting incident. I am so sad to think I only have 1 1/2 weeks until I go back to work. If it were feasable, I would stay home with her permanently. Maybe in a couple years we can make that happen. Bryce has been great to help, for the most part, and he loves her as much as I do. She is so much fun, most of the time. For a week or two she had some crying that I wasn't sure how to deal with, but I am learning everyday what her cries mean, and how to make her comfortable.
